Planning Issues - Conservative MP "do what I say and not what you do !!"
5.33 KiB imageLetter to Evening Gazette from Eaglescliffe resident, Lesley Lewis.
The residents of Yarm and Eaglescliffe are very concerned about the number of houses planned to be built in their area, however the Conservative Member of Parliament for Stockton South needs to get his facts right when he lists them because the retirement village, to be built on Leven Bank would have been rejected by the planning committee if his Tory colleagues on that committee had sung from the same hymn sheet and voted against it.
Apparently the highway department for Stockton Council opposed the application on road safety grounds so I wonder who will be to blame if anyone is killed at the new roundabout that would be needed at the entrance. The whole of the planning committee or just the ones that went against the officers' recommendation and voted for it?
Yours faithfully
Lesley Lewis
