Campaign Gathers Momentum

Hands off Preston Park is the cry being heard across Eaglescliffe and beyond.

Our on-line petition has signatures from lovers of the park far and wide.

One signatory described Dari Taylor's letter as the most stupid thing since Tim Devlin jumped on the tank! hose with long memories for campaigns to preserve our green wedge will remember that incident.

Last night at Stockton Council Maureen Rigg sought clarification from the Cabinet member responsible for schools about one statement in Ms Taylor's most recent letter to some residents. She claimed "My role was to fight for the funding - some £20 million. I have secured that."

The cabinet member confirmed what we know - the funding Stockton have been promised does NOT include Eaglescliffe, Yarm or Ingleby Barwick schools. Just another example of Ms Taylor not understanding the issue she is talking about.
