JACQUIE SUPPORTS PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

Jacquie Bell is supporting the Get My Vote campaign being organised by the charity for people with learning disabilities, Mencap.

The campaign calls for political parties to work to protect the rights of people with a learning disability. It includes opportunities for employment, support for carers and equal rights to health care.

"As a social worker, I have supported many people with learning difficulties," notes Jacquie. " I have been aware of issues facing them and their families and carers . I have promoted policies at Lib Dem Conferences e.g. support for carers, access to benefits, training and employment."

"People with learning disabilities have a vote and it is important that their voices are heard by politicians."
