Jacquie Bell supports Nursing Manifesto

Stockton South Candidate Jacquie Bell has pledged to support the Royal College of Nursing Manifesto.

"As a social worker in a hospital for older people I am in daily contact with nurses both on the wards and District Nurses in the Community as we seek to support older people and their families either in their own homes or in care homes." said Jacquie.

" I believe it is important that nurses have safe staffing levels, are able to have time to develop their learning, are able to nurse rather than be weighed down between a computer and paperwork and are able to say when they think care systems can be improved. I am particularly interested in the way Health, Social Care and voluntary agencies can work together to maintain people with long term conditions at home so long as possible. Health Care needs ongoing investment."
