Jacquie supports good healthcare for the elderly

Jacquie Bell, Parliamentary candidate for Stockton South, today expressed her support for older people.

The British Geriatrics Society is a membership association for medical professionals specialising in the care of older people who are the largest group of people using the NHS .

The BGS want to improve services for these people.

"I am fully supportive of this campaign" noted Jacquie. " Through my employment as a social worker for older people I am in daily contact with older people and the professionals who care for them.

We must

• ensure that older people have access to timely and effective health care

• Promote healthy ageing

• *promote a better integration of health and social care

• Fund research into ageing and age related conditions
